DURMSTRANG INSTITUTE
Hello and welcome, fellow students! Here you will discover what House you belong in and start your journey as a pupil of Durmstrang Institute. Before you can take the quiz to find your House, let us go through what significance the creators of Durmstrang had on our school and understand the meaning of each of our Houses. Without further ado, let us begin!
Durmstrang History:
Created in the Middle Ages and located in Scandinavia, Nerida Vulchanova, a medieval witch at the time, founded Durmstrang and became the first Headmistress of the school. After her death, Harfang Munter became the first Headmaster of the school and emphasized the importance of learning Dark Arts and martial magic. Durmstrang was then recognized for their strict form of education and no acceptance of muggle-borns into the school. While the school was successful in providing an excellent education, there had been disputes over the clash of personalities in the student groups during classes and school hours. It wasn't until the unity of four remarkable students when the Durmstrang Houses were created.
Durmstrang Houses:
Mudrost-Founded by Mombert Mudrost, this house stands for the wise and clever. Those who join this house are known for their expanded knowledge and thirst to learn as much as possible, much like Mombert. Their colors are purple and white and are represented by the Owl. He was the oldest of the four and had been willing to solve any challenge with his intelligence, being quick witted and thinking ahead about his actions.
Khitrost-Founded by Korbinian Khitrost, this house represents the cunning and sly. Their colors are dark green and gold and their symbol is the Lynx. They pride themselves in their ability to deceive others and their determination to achieve their goal, no matter how difficult the obstacles or who they face. Korbinian was the second oldest of the four and had the similar personality as he ambitiously went after his desires, not caring how or what he had to do to achieve his goals.
Khabrost-Founded by Klotilda Khabrost, this house represents the brave and loyal. They are often recognized for their reckless behavior and strong sense of instinct, following their hearts and fighting for what they believe in. Their colors are gray and black while their symbol is the Boar. Klotilda was the third oldest and had a fierce soul, ready to take action and speak out her thoughts.
Dobrota-Founded by Dagmar Dobrota, this house represents kindness and helpfulness. They usually are expressive over their concerns for others and are mindful about other people's thoughts and feelings. Their colors are brown and peach and their symbol is the Deer. Dagmar was the youngest of the four friends and had a gentle spirit, expressing her sympathies towards those who felt troubled or lost.
