Background: Nicolas was born to Bella and Marcus Chevalier. He was orphaned at a young age when his parents were killed in a terrible fire. He was placed with a foster family by the Ministry and does not remember much about his family. He quickly grew attached to his adopted family and considers them his parents. When he came to them to broach the subject of his sexuality he was worried that they might reject him and have him placed with another family. His adopted family were purebloods and he was worried that he might not be met with understanding. However his worries were unfounded; he was met with a loving embrace from both of his parents. They decided that it would be best for him to attend Durmstang for his education as they felt the school was more rigorous.
