Back Home (Sojo Vandres closed)

It was a soft encounter, the day she met her new father. Now happily home the girl giggled as she sat outside in the woods. Her sketch book by her and her pet by her as she smiled brightly. Leaning against the tree behind her she stroked the back of her ghostly friend, "Mischief, what do you want to do today?" she asked softly before she heard something. Going to her home she went inside. It was probably Sojo calling her. Walking about the girl was followed by her dragon ghost and fiddled with her hair, "Father? You call?" she asked as she looked about. Not worried for she knew she was safe here.

Sojo spent the day preparing things and himself...for helping Hitari get ready for school. He would play with her later but he was proud of her. His little girl was growing up and now of age to attend a school for Magic. He had been busy some of the days and was tired. He sensed them and called. "Hitari?" He called out with a smile. He stood up and was in the dimly lit house. He looked around for her. He walked towards her and met her. Hugging her. "Hey my baby girl. How are you?"

Fading in and out slowly the ghostly dragon went around and slowly found a book. Merging into it the ghostly figure was gone, no sooner though it made the book float and flitted about. Floating up and down, up and down, the book opened and shut before dropping. Mischief shot out and collided into her friend. Hitari caught the ghost and giggled, "Silly dragon." she said and lifted her head as she saw her dad. Grinning she ran over and hugged him, "Hi daddy." she said and lifted her head, "I'm good! Me and mischief have been outside playing." she said with a giggle. The ghost was sitting on her head churring and fiddling with a leaf that was still stuck in Hitari's hair.

Sojo looked at Hitari. Chuckling as Mischief collided with Hitari. Shaking his head. Hugging her back. "That is good to hear. Remember what daddy told you Hitari? That you are to never acknowledge or show anything but fear and run the other way. No matter what happens. When daddy is Fredrique you do not know me. I am not your father then but a bad man who your daddy told you to stay away from. Trust me alright? I have to be undercover and Fredrique is a very dangerous bad man." He showed her Fredrique.

Then returned to normal. "No matter if I get hurt you must not cry nor react nor make a sound. If you see me as him on the streets don't acknowledge me nor show any sign of recognition. It is for your own safety as well as mine. Daddy does undercover work but you must never allow your mind to recall this." He ruffled her hair. Smiling as he was just him again. "It is time to talk to you about Hogwarts Hitari. You got your letter yesterday am I right? I'm sorry I was not able to see you open it due to work."

The young girl was excited to see her father, he was so busy lately but she understood. The man worked hard and did his best to protect them both. Lifting her eyes to his face she blinked, she barely remembered him telling her of something. Sojo once told her of a man named Fredrique, a dangerous man he said and wanted her to be wary of. Hitari nodded and kept quiet as Mischief sat on her shoulder now, "I will daddy. He sounds scary even though I know you are not scary." she said softly before she saw him changed a bit making her jump.

A low growl came from her shoulder as Mischief was fluffed up and snarling at "Fredrique", wondering what the man did with Sojo. Growling deeply till Sojo returned to normal. Churring with joy the baby dragon went to Sojo and nuzzled him. Hitari nodded, "Mischief thinks Fredrique guise is scary." she giggled but then again she thought daddy looked scary as Fredrique. Though she would be sad if Sojo got hurt. So she would have to act very well. Giggling when feeling better she reached into her pocket.

"A tiny barn owl brought it to me yesterday!! I am so excited!" she said bouncing and gave it to him before giggling softer, "Mischief chased the owl around for a while, it was funny. It's alright though daddy, I understand." she said and watched as Mischief sat on Sojo.

Sojo looked at her and chuckled a bit. "I can be but never scary like that." He said softly. He laughed a bit. Looking at Mischief. Petting her as he stroked her head. "He is. He is a bad man Mischief. You seem him make sure Hitari never acknowledges him and runs the way. Alright?" He said with a rubbing of Mischief's head. He looked at her and smiled. "Yes and if Mischief growls and runs you must run away and not look back." He informed her. "No matter who she does it at if they are an adult."

He listened as she spoke. Laughing a bit. Taking it from him. "Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And WIzardry...my baby girl is growing up. I'm so proud." He read it over. "Hahahahahaha yeah. That is amusing. You have questions? Tomorrow we will go shopping."

The ghost churred and nuzzled into the strokings even softly purred before nodding and saluting to Sojo. Letting him know she would protect her Hitari. A soft nod came from the young girl, "Alright dad I will remember to run." she then giggled but she felt unease before she began to speak, "I'm scared, I am different but I don't really know what I will do when I get there. Like... Um..." she paused and made a face, "Where will I sleep or go bathroom....Im not exactly a little girl." she said looking up at him, "What are the classes like?" though the shopping sounded fun, it cheered her up. Even Mischief turning into a feather and sticking out from Sojos hair made her feel better.

Sojo looked at her. Listening to her as he smiled. "Good. Thank you Mischief. I am glad you will as well my sweet Hitari." He said with a smile. He looked at her.


"Hmm? You are a girl to the world. You are registered as a girl. Stay true to who you are. You feel and are female except for a physical formation therefore in every aspect you are my little girl. My daughter. If that is who you feel you are and you have said you are there is nothing to question. If you really wish to not feel out of place use girls bathrooms and change behind a dressing screen. You are a young woman and that is all that matters. If one day you wish to fully change that I will support you. However, I know a woman named Makota who is just like you and there is no doubting she is a woman even if she is like you physically."

He explained with a smile. He looked at her. "With the girls as you are a girl. The girls bathroom." He explained to her. He rubbed her hair. "Nonsense Hitari. You are all girl minus a bit below the belt. Everything else about you is nothing but female. Would it make you feel better if I took you to meet Makota before school starts?" He asked kindly. He looked up at Mischief and chuckled.

Looking at her. "As far as what? They aren't normal classes yet some are. They teach things in the Wizard World that can't be taught amongst normal humans."

Mischief swirled and zoomed around Sojo before dive bombing the floor to vanish with her tail stuck out from the floor. Wiggling the tip of it before vanishing completely. All the while Hitari looked up at her father and listened quietly, nodding a bit she looked down then giggled, "Maybe I over think stuff." she said scrunching her nose and then rubbed her arms, "I don't know dad.... I don't think I'll change my body." she then looked up and smiled brightly as she bounced a bit, "Really?! Could I meet her before school does start?!" she asked hyperly before calming and looked down, "Could I daddy?" though she giggled and hugged him, "Will I see creatures like... unicorns or dragons?" she said in a typical little girl way.

Sojo looked at Mischief and laughed a bit as he watched her. Shaking his head a bit. Listening to her. "Sometimes my baby girl. Just sometimes." He said with amusement. "Then you don't have to. Makota never has and the world sees her as all woman. She is like you." He said. Looking at her. "Sure. We can go see her the day after tomorrow. Unless work prohibits. Then I'll have Hana and Zain pick you up and escort you there. Alright?" He said with a smile. Nodding his head and hugged her back. Barely not flinching when she hugged him out of nowhere. "Possibly unicorns but I doubt dragons. Except in books. Dragons are forbidden except for ghosts."

Making a face the little girl shook her head. She really had a problem with that. Though she smiled and giggled. Makota sounded so awesome!! Hitari was excited to meet her. Smiling she wiggled, "Zain sounds like he'd be scary.... but I wanna see Makota!" she said smiling and then looked down with a pout. Mischief appeared on her shoulder and licked her, "I guess I might ask to see a unicorn someday. They look so pretty in books." she said and grabbed her little dragon friend, not really understanding why dragons were forbidden but would not ask. Smiling she looked at him, "Want me to make cookies for us daddy?"

Sojo looked at his daughter with a fond smile. "Hahahaha....probably but you deal with the same things he does all the time. Don't be afraid of people for being different alright sweetheart?" He asked with a warm smile. He ruffled her hair a bit. "Well I'll send an owl to Ronon and Makota asking if we can come by." He promised. Listening to her as she spoke. "Perhaps someday. The ones at Hogwarts are rare but there is still others all over the world." He told her. "Sure sweetheart. Go make some cookies. I'll write and send an owl to Ronon and Makota while you do."

Hitari giggled and nodded. Though Zain did sound scary, but what did he deal with that she did? Though she did hope to see a unicorn. They were so beautiful in books! With a giggle she took off running. Mischief followed and she soon grabbed everything to make cookies. Mischief possessed the flour and made it float to the counter. Coming out she was covered in flour. Rolling on the wood board she wiggled out of the flour. Hitari giggled and began to make the cookie dough. Rolling the dough into balls she was glad Mischief floured that wood board for her. She put them on the cookie sheet and waited by the oven. Nibbling on the small amount of cookie dough left. Putting the sheet into the oven she sat at the table and poked her ghostly friend, "Thanks for helping Mischief." the dragon chirred and chirped. Making her giggle the girl waited for the cookies to cook. She made them into flour shapes, "You think daddy will love them??" the ghost smiled and nodded, "Chief!! chief!!"
