| The boy stared hard at the feather they were supposed to be levitating. They were supposed to make something like that float? Poking it with his finger, Rhydian supposed it couldn't be that hard. Birds made use of them all the time right? And they were light enough. Should be easy. The more he tried to the spell though the more frustrated he was becoming. Eyes narrowing he prodded it with his wand. "Move, you piece of butt plumage!"
Okay maybe that wasn't a good enough threat to make it move. Maybe he should threaten to feed it to a snake? Except maybe it knew he was lying because he wouldn't want the snake to choke on it. What else would make it do what he said? He couldn't say he'd make a quill out of it. He had plenty of those and that would be an honor not a threat. Sighing, he set his wand down as he ran a hand through his hair and let his elbow drop onto the desk to support his head. He was saying it right, wasn't he? So why wasn't it moving? "Do you need more of your friends to work, is that it? Well, the professor only gave us one so you have to fly and strut your stuff!"
Turning to the person next to him he gave big pleading eyes. Mouthing the world 'help' and gestured at his stubborn feather that refused to so much as twitch. It didn't even move when he'd tried blowing it just to see if it was mocking him.

| Austin had actually gone to a class on time for once. Moving to sit next to the other puff. Robes covering the fact he wasn't wearing a shirt and the native american pants styled to match the school dresscode. He watched the kid next to him and couldn't help but smirk. It wa comical the things he said and did. He leaned back in the seat and crossed his legs on the desk. Chuckling a bit as he heard the kid talking to it. It took all of his willpower not to mess with the kid and have it answer back with his spirit magic. He shook his head. "Name is Austin. Word of advice...loosen up your arm so it moves loose and fluid like water. Moving your wrist subtly. You're saying the spell far too heavy. Say it light and aiery like a gentle breeze. Windgardium Leviosa." He said to the younger hufflepuff in a gruff but kind tone.

| "Rhydian," he replied while glaring at the piece of fluff he was sure was mocking him. It moved it's feathery bits as if waving at him knowing he would not get it off the desk. Tilting his head as he listened to the advice, a thoughtful frown on his face. Like water and wind? Huh, well, anything was worth a try.
Not caring if he looked foolish, Rhydian began to sway thinking, 'I'm the wind, I'm the wind. See my blowing and moving.' He couldn't really think about water and flowing or it might make him have to pee and he wasn't sure if the professor allowed them to have bathroom breaks. It would take him part of the class period just to find a toilet!
Picturing the way his mother moved and such when teaching people music, he moved his arm and wrist like she did when conducting. Unsure if his voice was how it was supposed to be he repeated the spell and just for good measure threatened to burn the feather if it didn't rise. He kept his eyes shut only looking through squinty eyes to see if it had worked.

| Austin smirked a bit. This kid was a goofball and not too bright at moments but amusing nonetheless. He kept that smirk as he read the body language the kid gave off when he started swaying. Watching him he facepalmed when he broke the mojo by threatening it. "Stop stop." He said trying to keep the laughter out of his voice. He put a hand on the kids head.
"Alright kid...you had it right in the motions and the fluidity but threatening anything after you are doing something right is counterproductive. If your going to threaten it follow it with action not empty talk. That won't get you anywhere right now. You were starting to do it prior. Now try again without threatening to set it on fire. Same motions movements and lightness of voice. Wingardium Leviosa. WWithout tthe threats after. Open your eyes also before you misfire your wand." He said in a commanding and instructing yet kind way.

| Pouting at the hand on his head, Rhydian sat back with a huff. Crossing his arms he turned to look at Austin with curiosity. His eyes went wide. How did he know? Was he muttering? Oh no! What if he was monologing?! Rhydian knew an annoying kid like that in his old school. He got beat up. A lot.
Or... Giving a suspicious and awed look at him he asked, "Are you a mind reader? Because that is so cool!"
Before he remembered what he was supposed to be doing. Going back to thinking about being wind Rhydian swayed again. Like he was told he kept his eyes open when he cast the spell at the feather. He cheered when it rose off his desk. Before it jabbed him in the eye. Clapping his hand over his eye immediately as it watered. Glaring with his uncovered eye he jabbed the feather with his wand again setting it aflame. "Stupid butt plumage."

| Austin smirked a bit as the kid went from annoyance and frustration to curiousity. Wide eyed. Body language and heart rate changed, pulse got quicker and breathing altered, he smelled the anxiety and curiousity coming off this boy. He didn't think he'd tell him he was a wolf man...not yet anyways. He kind of wanted to f**k with his head. In a kind way of course. Had to take care of the peeps of Hufflepuff but his inner Slytherian nature wanted to fuck with the kids head a bit.
Besides it wasn't lying if he neither confirmed nor denied merely played off the question phrased. He watched him change to suspicious awe and a cheshire cat grin crossed his lips. He leaned back and smirked a bit. "Yes well...I am something like a mind reader but not exactly." He said playing off the kid's words yet at the same time neither truthfully answering nor lying denial came from him. He snickered a bit. This kid was a bit empty headed at times wasn't he?
He watched him as he switched to sensei mode and laughed when the feather got him. Putting out the fire with his hand before the teacher notice. Licking his palm to speed up the healing and snickered. "That is how it is done...next time keep focus until you put it down to avoid collatoral damage or injury casualty to yourself or others. Well...unless you have other questions imma bounce. I've overstayed my desired upon impedement."
