Besides the gentle mummers of the group of Khitrost in the corner, it was surprisingly quiet in the Commons. No obnoxious Seventh Years, no gossip, just a few students scattered around the room either reading or talking amongst themselves. Usually Edgar would like the quietness, but as he looked around, he realized that books and knowledge weren't enough to help him make friends, especially in a house like the ambiguous Khitrost. He needed to find company and be able to socialize with others, so he decided to leave the books back in his dorm and go outside.
As he walked out of his dorm and into the Common, he began heading towards the door when he stumbled upon a fallen broom and fell, landing on his back. Wincing slightly from the pain, he pulled himself up with his elbows and reached over for the broom, looking around to find the owner. "Um, does anyone know who's broom this belongs to?" He asked, face a bit red with embarrassment as he lifted the broom up for the students to see. 'Great first impression, Edgar.'
